For now we do not have fixed schedules. We get in touch with the head master and fix our sessions.

It will be usually on saturdays. We may have a session this saturday, we will confirm this to you. You are welcome to join.

 

The plan is to do it for 10th class for now. I think right now that the only thing that looks pragmatic with the available active members.

 

About the sessions, the plan is to have a teaching session on a single chapter that is according to their syllabus, which accompanies experiments that is associated with the chapter content. Immediately after the session we usually have a session on any general topic. It may be playing some videos about general science experiments at home, vedic mathematics, comedy movie screening, documentary screening etc. Quiz could also be one of the things.

 

We could do the same activity in your school on a different day for example, since you take mathematics etc during your visits.

What I need from you - if you are free - is to share your schedule as well- so I can also visit your school activities and align my other activities, if you don't mind.

I might not come and address - but at least curious to see what you are doing. depending on my schedule.

If you are coming to my village then - I'd like to know what are the area of interest ?

Is it in General - to 8th, 9th or 10th

or are you going to be doing some demo of some physics experiments ?

or do some quiz on the Constitution of India, or anything like that,

Or conduct a painting competition for younger kids,I have kids in 5-7th graders as well, - the crowd is small and easy to manage.

I'd like to see some quiz like

if a tractor rides on 10 gallons for 20 miles,  calculate the mileage in Kilometers ?

A kg of rice costs 48 rupees in the city, if  the villager sells the rice in the village to the middle man at 30 rupees - how much percentage hike did the city dweller pay ?

A 40 W bulb is used for 2 hrs every day and if it costs 200 rupees monthly light bill, what is the unit charge ?
things like that.

A cut wound on the finger heals at 0.5 mm a day and if the cut is 1 cm,. how many days does it take to heal ? Or how long should the bandage/cast be placed on it.

At this point - we are not going to teach the kids, but a basic evaluation to both the kids and the teachers what the level of aware ness of what they learn't in school can be applied to everyday life ?

A gram of gold costs 2700 rupees, and if the father has to buy 15 gms of gold for the daughter's marriage - what does it cost ?

A gram of gold costs 3000 rupees and a farmer saves 300 rupees a month, how many months does he have to save to buy 10 grams of gold.

A gram of gold costs 3K and if the farmer saves the deposits 300 rupees a month at 7% interest for 1 year in the rural co-op - what would he get at the end of 2.5 years.

A waiter at a hotel earns 1500 rupees a month working at a hotel cleaning tables, right after 10'th std.

whereas his brother studies upto 2nd puc, and becomes a Postman and earns 5000 rupees a month. 

How much money does both make at the end of their 5th year.
